15.4.1.2.Quá khứ phân từ (Past participle)

Định nghĩa: Có thể rút gọn mệnh đề quan hệ bị động bằng V3/past participle: the documents that were signed → the documents signed.

Được dùng khi động từ trong mệnh đề quan hệ ở dạng bị động (passive form).

-> The student chosen as winner will get a prize.

(Học sinh được chọn là người thắng cuộc sẽ nhận được giải thưởng.)

The book, which was first published in 1970, has sold over a million copies.

-> The book, first published in 1970, has sold over a million copies.

(Cuốn sách này, được xuất bản lần đầu tiên vào năm 1970, đã bán được hơn một triệu bản.)

‘Robinson Crusoe’ is a novel which is based on the true story of Alexander Selkirk.

-> ‘Robinson Crusoe’ is a novel based on the true story of Alexander Selkirk. (‘Robinson Crusoe’ là cuốn tiểu thuyết dựa trên câu chuyện có thật về Alexander Selkirk.)
