23.4.7.Câu mệnh lệnh (Imperative sentences)
Định nghĩa: Câu mệnh lệnh là dạng câu dùng để ra lệnh, yêu cầu, hướng dẫn, khuyên bảo hoặc mời; chủ ngữ you thường được lược bỏ.
Câu mệnh lệnh (imperative sentences): verb + object/ do not + verb + object → dạng bị động được thành lập bằng cách dùng động từ LET.
Let + object + be + past participle
Ví dụ
Finish the job at once.
-> Let the job be finished at once. (Hãy kết thúc công việc ngay.)
Open the door.
-> Let the door be opened. (Hãy mở cửa.)
Let + object + not + be + past participle
Ví dụ
Do not beat the dog.
-> Let the dog not be beaten. / Let not the dog be beaten.
(Đừng đánh con chó.)
Don't touch it.
-> Let it not be touched. (Đừng chạm vào.)
Chúng ta cũng có thể dùng cấu trúc câu với you để nhấn mạnh: You are requested/ advised/ warned/ ordered...
Ví dụ
Finish the job at once. → You are ordered to finish the job at once.
Don't touch it. → You are warned not to touch it.
