61.2.1 Động từ tường thuật (trong mệnh đề chính) ở thì hiện tại đơn (say/ says), hiện tại tiếp diễn (is/ are saying), hiện tại hoàn thành (have/ has said) hoặc tương lai đơn (will say).

Ex:

• ‘I’ll be here at eight tomorrow morning.’ → He has said he will be here at eight tomorrow morning. (Anh ấy đã nói sẽ đến đây lúc 8 giờ sáng mai.)
• ‘I’m always there for you.’ → Peter will tell you he’s always there for you. (Peter sẽ nói với bạn rằng anh ta luôn ở bên bạn.)
• ‘Fifty people were injured.’ → It says here that fifty people were injured. (Ở đây nói rằng 50 người đã bị thương.)
